Hello everyone,

The AGM/Dissolution Meeting took place at the Albion Hotel, Shobnall Road, Burton on Trent last Wednesday evening (6th) and may I thank, on behalf of the Executive Committee, those clubs and individuals who were present. It was very disappointing to note that a number of clubs failed to attend.

The Trustees of the BDCL, appointed earlier in the year and confirmed at the AGM, will meet early in June as discussed at the meeting. They will report back to clubs as appropriate.

A reminder that the Batting & Bowling averages for last season can be viewed in League News along with the Fielding & Wicket-Keeping details.

The Six Cricketers of 2008 are:

Gary Edwards (Ashby Town)
Graeme Edwards (Ashby Town)
Jason Griffin (Hartshorne)
Nasir Khan (Medina)
Simon Moore (Ashby Hastings)
Mohammed Safeer (Medina)

The Four Junior Cricketers of 2008 (U17 & below) are:

Eric Arblaster-Hulley (Abbots Bromley)
Joe Cockeram (Yoxall)
Adam O'Donnell (Trentside)
Jake Poole (Ashby Hastings)

The handbook is planned to be available a month or two into the coming season. Clubs will be contacted in due course for relevant player information and photographs where possible. Information will also be requested for the extended lists, ie, The BDCL Thirty and The BDCL Junior Twenty. These players will be announced shortly.
